We hope you seriously consider becoming a part of Rochester College's Student Government as a Senator. With your help, we can make some great changes both on campus and in the surrounding community!
Student Government has a Constitution that we follow in order to properly lead the student body. Here is a snippet about the Senators so you can get an idea of what is required for one:
Student Government Constitution
Article IV, Section 9
Responsibilities and Duties of a Student Senator

- To represent his/her constituency by meeting with them twice a semester.
- To attend all committee or council meetings to which he or she has been appointed.
- To report back to the Student Senate on committee/council progress.
- To initiate any needed legislation.
- To communicate regularly with his/her constituency.
- Senators must maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to e-mail me. I truly hope you consider becoming a Senator, and look forward to working with you if you do so for the rest of the semester!
Thank you!
